Business Development & Executive Support Manager .

The company is constantly making breakthroughs in R&D, launching AI solutions, and advancing its own internal pipeline of small molecule therapeutics. They’re looking for a Senior Manager of BD to support the CEO with general management affairs and be independently responsible for following and closing BD deals. 

About the position

The Business Development & Executive Support Manager will be responsible to support CEO with general management affairs and also independently responsible for following and closing BD deals of our out-licensing efforts for preclinical assets and partnering strategy on AI platform technologies as well as discovery collaboration with external companies. This is an exciting hybrid opportunity for someone with a BD or executive PA background.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for screening and responding emails on CEO’s behalf when required.
  • Responsible for supporting CEO schedules.
  • Responsible for drafting internal and external communications on CEO’s behalf when requested.
  • Collect market, business and technical info and develop business insights.
  • Assist CEO on BD opportunities and deals. 
  • Independently scout, due diligence, negotiation, and execution of BD deals by working closely with our CBO, management, business development, R&D, AI, legal, and finance teams, as well as external parties.
  • Other activities as may be assigned by management.
  • Able to work flexible hours across various time zones.


  • Master’s degree or above (MBA, PhD preferred) with at least 3 years of experience in biotech, life science, pharma with an undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry or computer science. Successful business development track record is required.
  • Some experience with out-licensing, collaboration and/or service deal track record is required with industry rolodex. Experience with financial modeling and product portfolio strategy is a plus. 
  • Understanding towards the drug discovery and development process, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).
  • Some administrative experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills in writing and reading.  
  • Fluent in English. Ability to speak, read and write Chinese is a big plus.
  • Hard working, energetic, flexible, agile and ability to learn on the fly. Willing to adapt to a fast-paced working environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Super time management skills and attend to details.
  • A great team player and able to work in a diverse, multicultural, and globally distributed team.
