Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Reports to: Lab Director

About our client

• Our client is a Liquid Biopsy start-up-based Hayward in the San Francisco Bay area. They’re really leading the way in terms of creating a lasting impact in cancer and oncology research. They are committed to developing the first and best-in-class precision diagnostics and medicine portfolio to address needs in the US, China and worldwide.
  They also have a second side to the business, Covid/infectious disease testing business which is making huge traction in the Bay Area – expanding aggressively now into Los Angeles. They have plans for US wide expansion to build labs in Chicago, Texas and Florida which will be announced in the next few months.

Overall Job Purpose

• Running diagnostic tests safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

• Laboratory experience working with PCR
• Experience in using statistics to interpret PCR results
• Good organizational and analytical/problem solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Very high attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven flexibility and adaptability
• Ability to apply knowledge and skills in a highly organized fashion while adhering to process guidelines, and client expectations
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed
