Process Engineer.

Maple Grove - United States Depending on experience

Charlton Morris has partnered with a global leader in design and manufacture of both high-performance case solutions and advanced portable lighting systems to find a Process Engineer in - Hennepin County - Minnesota.

Their products are used by professionals in the most demanding markets including firefighters, police, defence/military, aerospace, entertainment, industrial and consumer sectors.

Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Process Engineer is responsible for the methods systems and equipment used in a manufacturing facility to ensure the smooth operation of production facilities by optimizing current process and support with implementation of strategic projects.

The primary responsibilities of the Process Engineer will be:

  • Overseeing and assessing new and existing processes and equipment
  • Continuous improvement for yield, efficiency, productivity, and cost improvements
  • Preparing process documentations and operating instructions
  • Monitoring production equipment performance
  • Developing best practices and implement solutions to help improve production rates, efficiency, cost, and product quality by running improvement activities and liaise with existing and new suppliers as required
  • Assisting with testing and trials of new materials and equipment and other validation activities
  • Following company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement


  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, statistical process control, design of experiments, statistical data analysis, 5S and design for six sigma
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems with ability to manage project end-to-end
  • Proficient with computer and information technology, experience working with CAD software and project management tools
  • Ability to communicate influence and adapt to change in varied situations; whilst interacting with colleagues and stakeholders on all levels
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, as necessary

  • Ad – hoc international travel to UK may be required
