Field Service Engineer US.

Hanover - United States Depending on experience

Charlton Morris has partnered with a leading spatial biology player, with ground-breaking Immunofluorescence and Multiplex Analysis capabilities to recruit a Field Service Engineer in the East Coast. This opportunity is serving the full New England territory. 

Our client has specialised in Oncology and Spatial Biology since 2014 with a ground-breaking and industry leading technology by building solutions that simplify technology adoption for discovery and translational research laboratories. They empower researchers to develop better targeted treatments for cancer and other diseases.

The Experienced Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Communicating effectively customers experience to the team through detailed reports and presentations.
  • Providing remote and on-field support for pre- and post-sales activities with strong hands-on and problem-solving skills
  • Supporting clients’ customers in maintaining and running service set up to high standard
  • Investigating problems and develop solutions to address them.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment and test it for performance and safety.
  • Understanding thoroughly all the technical aspects of the product on the hardware side as well as on the software side
  •  Running basic staining assays on the setup for testing protocols. (Training will be provided)
  • Collaborating effectively with the technical team to understand and improve the product.
  • Identifying and keeping track of all details and feedbacks at the customer site.
  • Driving for results by consistently achieving goals and pushing to complete tasks by their deadlines.

Required experience and skills for the Field Service Engineer are:

  • Relevant industry specific qualifications in Microsystems, Mechanical engineering, Bioengineering, electrical engineering, or microscopy optics.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in field service engineering in life sciences research or diagnostics and medical devices.
  • Hands on experience in basic laboratory techniques (Preferable)
  • Troubleshooting, root cause analysis experience. Experience in IT support for software and hardware is a plus.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job. For example, working with heavy complex devices, confined spaces
  • Customer service oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable to changing environment with hands-on problem-solving skills while demonstrating critical thinking, analytical and good organisational skills
  • Ability to work as a team, collaborating with other stakeholders
