Reliability Engineer.

West Midlands - United Kingdom Depending on experience

Charlton Morris are representing a Global Energy company to recruit for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join their team.

The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the performance of field operation & maintenance duties for several assets/facilities or plants. They will act as a technical and local point of contact with gas suppliers and/or customers and follow / enforces the Security procedures within the framework of regulatory requirements of the group and ensures that with the help and monitoring of competent people, the maintenance in good general condition of the installation.

Key Purpose of the Reliability Engineer includes:

  • To be the main technical interlocutor of contractors, suppliers, and customers (listening and support)
  • Be proactive about safety and maintaining the performance of the installations
  • Good knowledge (design and operation) of the installations (PFD, P&ID,
  • electrical diagram, functional analysis, and customer habits)
  • Gain relevance and accuracy in reporting and analysing breakdowns.
  • The ideal candidate should have knowledge of gas, knowledge in instrumentation and gas analysis. Strong skills writing technical reports and procedures and knowledge of usual IT tools (Google Docs, Google Sheet, etc.) and the CMMS tool skills along with Analytical skills in troubleshooting 
  • Knowledge in Managing Safely/Risk Assessment.

Essential Skills:

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineer qualification (HND / 18th Edition / Degree Level)
  • Experience in determining the stresses and strains in materials and structures when subjected to forces and heavy loads
  • Reliability & Stress testing experience
  • Industries Experience: Power, Oil & Gas, Anaerobic Digestion or Nuclear
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities and Power Generation sector
  • At least 3 years of experience in offshore oil/gas field development projects
