Senior Director Strategic Partnerships .

Wilmington - United States $150,000-$200,000 Dependent on Experience

Charlton Morris are partnered with a global Patient Recruitment software company, that work with stakeholders throughout key points in the drug development life cycle, helping to achieve clinical research milestones, adding value for patients, clients, and society at large.

They are currently seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships to join their commercial team. This role will work closely with the Business Development Executives to nurture and maintain both existing and new alliances to support business growth. This role reports directly into the CEO and is a key part of the leadership team.

This is a FULLY REMOTE position based on the East Coast of the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new Strategic Partnership accounts that align with the companies goals and mission, including: CRO’s, Decentralised Trial Platforms, Eclinical Solutions Organisations and Virtual Site Networks
  • Build partnerships with leading identified targets
  • Optimisation of the Strategic Partnerships Program in light of product or process improvement
  • Refine processes based on industry advancements and client feedback
  • Oversee and train/mentor Strategic Partnership Managers and more junior employees
  • Manage all aspects of advancing qualified partner leads to awarded business, including with all other functional teams needed to “close” the partnership
  • Articulate the company’s value proposition in terms of client needs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor
  • Possess deep knowledge of partners business, in order to adapt to client needs
  • Understand implications of economic and industry activity, in order to tailor the best possible solutions to targets
  • Have awareness of competitor pricing, programs and offerings
  • Oversee regular account management meetings for all CRO partners
  • Oversee Strategic Partnership program, including: escalating risks and reporting KPI’s to executives, lead knowledge transfer activities and training (both BD and Ops), report on KPI’s to internal and external stakeholders, internal coordination with Product, Engineering Labs, Operations and Sales to ensure partnership requirements understood and achieve deliverables in a timely manner, regular product demonstrations to partners, upsell new services

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience within the CRO/Pharmaceutical spaces including sales experience
  • Demonstrated success building Strategic Partnerships
  • Experience selling Patient Recruitment Solutions or Clinical Trials Technology Solutions
  • Highly skilled and experience in negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts with medium-larger organisations
  • Experience in high tech start up culture preferred
  • Experience with PE funded companies preferred
  • Strong knowledge and network for pharmaceutical outsourcing groups and executives
  • Solid understanding of the principles of drug development/life cycle
  • Ability to translate emerging trends relevant to the organisation
  • Unquestionable personal and professional integrity
  • Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated experience creating and maintaining business plans
  • Attention to detail on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities
  • Must be able to travel frequently
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Maintain and establish working relationships with coworkers
  • Maximise financial returns and business growth through strategic vision and execution of operating plans
  • Energetic self starter, who enjoys the challenge of a start-up environment
  • Minimum bachelors degree
